Mission: Yozakura Family Manga Concludes After Five-Year Run
The popular manga series Mission: Yozakura Family has officially concluded with Chapter 258, released on January 20, 2025. The series, penned by Hitsuji Gondaira, began its serialization in Weekly Shōnen Jump in August 2019, marking over five years of publication.

To commemorate the series’ conclusion, a special trailer has been unveiled, celebrating the journey of the Yozakura family and their adventures.
Final Volumes and Author’s Message
As of December 4, 2024, 27 manga volumes have been published. Volume 28 is scheduled for release on February 4, 2025, followed by the final Volume 29 on March 4, 2025. Author Hitsuji Gondaira expressed gratitude to fans, stating,
“Thank you so much for loving and supporting Yozakura-san! This might have been one of the luckiest works in the history of Jump.”
Anime Adaptation and Future Plans
The first season of the anime adaptation, produced by SILVER LINK, aired from April to October 2024. A second season has been announced and is slated for release in 2026. The anime is available to stream on Disney+ and Hulu.
Synopsis
Mission: Yozakura Family follows Taiyo Asano, a super-shy high school student whose only friend is his childhood companion, Mutsumi Yozakura. Mutsumi hails from a family of master spies with extraordinary abilities. Her overprotective older brother, Kyoichiro, targets Taiyo, leading him to marry Mutsumi to save himself and become part of the spy family.
