The “Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End” anime series is an adaptation of the original manga created by Kanehito Yamada and illustrated by Tsukasa Abe. According to official announcements, the anime will kick off with a special two-hour episode, marking a groundbreaking move as it becomes the first to premiere on a Japanese broadcast programming block traditionally reserved for feature films.

Notably, Viz Media introduced the English translation of the eighth volume in June, with the ninth installment poised for release on the 17th of October.
Although the series underwent a brief hiatus in mid-January, it swiftly resumed serialization by the close of March. Among the litany of accolades it has garnered, it’s worth highlighting the 25th Annual Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize in 2021 and the 14th Manga Taisho Award in the same year as standout achievements.
